The Qimaging MicroPublisher 5.0 RTV colour digital camera delivers an ultra high resolution image. The 5 million pixel sensor eliminates the need for pixel-stepping or co-site sampling which cause image artefacts. The 30-bit colour digitization produces high quality images of brightfield, dark-field and fluorescence work. For demanding low-light applications, the MicroPublisher Cooled model minimizes thermal noise during long exposure times. The IEEE 1394 FireWire digital interface allows ease of use and installation with a single cable connection from the camera to the computer, including laptops, requiring no framegrabber or external power supply.
