System Configuration

It is SYNCROSCOPY’s policy to provide complete imaging systems with components that have been carefully selected and tailored to ensure the highest quality digital image production. To benefit fully from Montage Explorer’s unique imaging capabilities we supply the following components:

Camera

Montage Explorer comes with a very high quality 3-CCD color digital camera with remote control options, which attaches to your microscope via a C-mount adapter.

	A range of color and monochrome video and digital cameras are supported
	Versatile software control of color balance, white balance, gamma, gain, contours and shutter speed for easy camera adjustment
	3 chip color for the most accurate image rendition
	High resolution for optimum detection of in-focus regions
	Live, full resolution, color preview for fast sample and focus positioning

Image Capture Software

AcQuis image capture, annotation, camera control and processing software for the capture of single images.

Optional XYZ-Stepper

Montage Explorer provides support for automated stages, and can optionally be supplied with a high-precision xyz-stepper stage – automated in all three planes.

High Performance Processor

A high specification Pentium PC is used to power the software and real-time processing hardware. The computer comes with the Montage Explorer image capture hardware pre-installed. Fitted with a specially selected high performance graphics card, a large amount of fast RAM for image caching, a high capacity hard drive, CD writer/ reader and a large high definition color monitor.
