WHAT'S NEW

New Version of Microscopy Software

Rapidly Generates Complete Images of Large Samples

Syncroscopy today introduced Montage Explorer Version 2, its innovative system for producing high quality stitched images of adjacent fields of view. The upgrade includes a new fast scanning mode and a link to the Syncroscan superfast sample mapping module.

The Syncroscan module now included in Montage Explorer Version 2 allows users to automatically scan at record speeds of up to 20 fields of view per second to produce a high quality map of their sample. The map can be used to select a region of interest so that a perfectly stitched Montage Explorer image of this area can be created thus solving any depth of focus problems. The new mode in Montage Explorer allows scanning using a digital camera and new, even faster algorithms.

Montage Explorer Version 2 is so versatile it can be used with any optical microscope or macro system. Even at high magnification, using Montage Explorer's fast scanning mode, microscopists can rapidly move around the sample to build a detailed composite image of up to 18,000 by 18,000 pixels. The images produced can then be stored, analysed further or printed.

Martin Smith, Syncroscopy's Divisional Sales Manager said: "We are delighted with the incredibly enhanced performance the new fast scanning mode brings to this software upgrade. We are convinced Montage Explorer Version 2 will prove to be the perfect solution for any microscopists trying to produce large area, definitive images of large depth of focus samples such as bone and tissue sections or whole insects."
