PRODUCTS: Syncroscan
Features
Image Stitching
Syncroscan, uses mechanical alignment to place images of adjacent fields side-by-side. The quality of stepper stage used, the alignment of the camera and the calibration procedure therefore determine the accuracy of the stitching. Phenomenal high speeds can be attained utilising this method.
Multiple Resolution
Scans
You can perform a low magnification scan to obtain a quick image map of your sample and then switch to a high magnification to scan regions of interest at higher levels of detail. Syncroscan automatically merges both the high and low magnification images. This makes it easier to find the area of interest on your sample.
Auto-focus
Syncroscan includes an optional auto-focus hardware module, which plugs into the Syncroscan controller board and connects to the video output of the system camera. Users can then choose how frequently the auto-focus is used during a scan and how far the focus searches. The system will automatically reset the starting point for each search so that focus planes are tracked. Your images will always be in focus.
Images
and Scan Patterns
Both images and scan patterns can be stored together with any relevant parameters allowing rescanning of identical locations on subsequent samples if required.
Image Size
The maximum image size is defined by the amount of memory in the PC. The resolution of the image captured into each field is user selectable allowing you to scan as wide an area as possible, using minimal PC memory, so your system will always work at full speed.
Navigating
with Syncroscan
When your image map has been created you can point to any location on the image and the stage will instantly move to that point. The live image can be displayed next to the map from that location or, optionally, on a separate monitor. This is perfect for routine scanning of specimens, hugely reducing the effort and tedium involved and greatly enhancing productivity. Images of specific locations can be instantly saved to disk.
Real-Time
(RT) Option
This option allows the capture of images at the astonishing rate of 20 fields per second. This means that the stage continuously moves at high speed while the images are collected, shade corrected and stitched into the image map. This patented technology will transform the productivity of many labs involved in routine specimen scanning.
On-Screen
Stage and Focus Control
On-screen “soft” focus and stage controls, greatly enhancing the ease of use of the entire imaging system.
